We aim to bring the sauna experience to as many locations across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland as possible.

We’re starting out linking up with open water swimming venues but we’re very happy to chat if you have a venue that could be a great location for our sauna.

We are also going to host some pop-up wild spa events once we get fully up and running - again, venue suggestions for those are also most welcome.

We’re very open to your ideas too, so drop us a line if you have a great one!

  • Stoney Cove, Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire

Stoney Cove is a fantastic venue for year round open water swimming with its clear, safe water.

A former quarry, it's also the UK's national diving centre. So whilst you're on top of the water, there are divers beneath - what better way to make use of the water!

If you have booked a sauna then parking at Stoney Cove is free, just let them know at the gate that you have booked. If you also want to swim/use the water, either before, after, or as part of your sauna session, you need to have booked a swimming session separately on the Stoney Cove website, and check-in at the gate on arrival so they know you will be on the water.

We're situated at the bottom of the main car park, past the main building and keep going towards Nemo's cafe. We're right next to Nemo's and the changing and toilet facilities.

Here's the link to book your swim at this lovely venue. https://www.stoneycove.com/open-water-swimming/

DIVERS: Unfortunately, due to the increased potential risk of decompression illness, it is strongly advised that divers do not join us for a sauna on the days you are diving, before or after.

  • Burton Farm, Burton Hastings, Nuneaton

Burton Farm is a beautiful location for year round open water swimming in a fully lifeguarded environment.

Swimming takes place in the Redwood lake, which is also used for doggy swim club, paddle boarding, and working dog training.

It is a spring fed lake with excellent water quality and is just over 3 acres in total, with a 550m loop to swim around and an average depth of 4-6ft.

  • Swimcube - Pitsford Reservoir, Brixworth Country Park, Northants

After years of hoping, open water swimming is now a feature at Pitsford Reservoir.

In the winter there are a few weekend sessions backed up by a full lifeguard and safety team. In the summer, lots more sessions are added including evenings during the week.

To get to the swimming area, park at the country park and walk towards the water, pick up the main path round the reservoir and take a left, follow it round for about 20 meters, and you’ll see the swim area on the left. You can only swim here at the designated times and if you’ve booked in.

To book your swim you need to do so via the Wild app - all the details are here: https://theswimcube.com/pitsford-open-water/

There is a lovely cafe and lots of parking at Brixworth Country Park - you do have to pay for parking and it’s controlled by a new ANPR system, but you can now pay by card or contactless at the machines.

  • Braybrooke Beer Company

Situated on the Northamptonshire and Leicestershire border between the village of Braybrooke and the town of Market Harborough, Braybrooke Beer have the most beautiful farm, brewery, and tap room.

They are going to be allowing us to host some wild spa events at the farm. We're hugely excited about this one. And if they go well, they're happy for them to become regular events!

These really are set to be superb pop-up events where we can combine sauna, ice baths, good food, and some really great beer!

Keep your eyes on our socials to find out more about these events, tickets will fly!

  • Sywell Reservoir, Northamptonshire

We missed this year at Sywell Reservoir before they stopped swimming there for the winter. But we're super hopeful we can bring sauna to their swim sessions in 2025!

It is a lovely venue for open water swimming. They offer sessions during the main swimming season of May - October on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings.

It's very popular with triathletes and 'swimblers' alike and has a super friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

We're hoping to be situated in the swim parking paddock.

Parking is NOT free of charge so you'll need to pay at the machines. The country park has toilets and a cafe available a short walk away.

You won't need to have booked a swim to book a sauna, but if you want to use the reservoir (even for a tiny dip) you will need to have booked in for safety purposes.
